Studio Goetz
Roy Street Kitchen:
Seattle, Washington
The Roy Street micro studio remodel included a major kitchen overhaul. The original 1930s kitchen was outdated and spatially inefficient because the space was originally designed as a hotel. We removed the old paint encrusted cabinets and non-functional icebox and designed a more functional layout that included space for a full size range and small refrigerator. It was important to maintain the original Art Deco aesthetic of the space, so we refinished the existing glass cabinets that bound the kitchen space and made sure to maintain the stepped ceiling details. New finishes and lighting fixtures were carefully selected to complement and highlight the vintage style of the home.
