01.Initial Project Consultation
This is the first in any project to determine the scope of work and project goals. After this initial meeting I can send you a detailed estimate of design fees for your project to be mutually agreed upon. We can work on an hourly or fixed fee basis - whichever is best for you.
02.Concept Design
This service establishes the design concepts for your project. Concepts are an integral core to a strong project because they serve as the mission statement, or guiding principle, that one can draw back to when making decisions through the course of a project.
03.Space Planning
This is the phase where we will do as-built measurements and site documentation in order to create space plans for your project. Some projects will have various options and others will not. Space plans are usually loose sketches that show potential and will be locked down with more precise documentation standards in the design documentation phase of work.
04.Design Documentation
This phase is used to lock down more precise floor plans, elevations, and ceiling plans. If consultants are necessary (structural, contractor, etc), we will begin to enlist and engage with them for feedback. This is also the period of work where we will build a 3D model, begin to define materials, and show the materials in the model to clearly understand how our design is working.
05.Construction Documentation
This is the phase of work where we build a complete set of documents to be given to the builders after most of the design decisions have been agreed upon. Design documents include a drawing set with finish schedules and construction details as needed.
06.FF&E - Furniture, Fixtures, and Equipment
FF&E is the phase where we specify furniture, curtains, and any necessary equipment such as televisions or speakers. This phase generally includes several trips to showrooms to see products in person, which can be more or less full service as desired. We will produce FF&E plans and specifications and are also able to coordinate delivery and installation as needed.
07.Construction Administration
Construction requires some oversight by the designer to ensure the project is being installed as planned. This phase includes coordination with the contractors, job site visits, and project closeout.
08.Installation and Staging
This phase is where furniture, fixtures, and accessories are installed. We can stage your space after furniture has been installed by accessorizing, hanging art, and putting the final finishing touches on your space to make if complete.
